On each charter flight about forty wheelchairs are taken to provide for the needs of the WWII veterans. We would like to begin the process of possibly collecting our own group of wheelchairs, instead of having to arrange for donated ones prior to each flight. If you have a wheelchair in your family you no longer use and would like to permanently donate it to Land of Lincoln Honor Flight, please contact Ralph Foster at 217.306.3532 or Ray Wiedle at 217.622.1473.

LLHF Welcomes Home Third Flight for 2010 Season:

What a great turnout for our returning veterans! Ninety-six World War II veterans arrived back to Abraham Lincoln Capital Airport to a huge crowd of enthusiastic and appreciative people of all ages. It was very much a gala event for our returning veterans and their guardians and a great way to cap off their special day.

LLHF April 21st Honor Flight Huge Success:

The first Land of Lincoln Honor Flight for the 2010 flying season is in the books now and by all accounts it was a huge success save for a little rain in Washington, D.C. We were able to fly 104 WW II veterans to see their memorial for which we own a huge debt of gratitude to our many contributors. If you were at Abraham Lincoln Capital Airport to see the "Welcome Back" ceremony, you know why your contributions are so important. If you were not able to make it to the airport, you can view this video to see some of the excitement you missed.
